Welcome to the ultimate surf camp experience, where adventure meets the ocean! At our camp, we believe every child deserves the thrill of catching their first wave and discovering the joy of the sea. We’re dedicated to helping kids build confidence, develop social skills, and create lasting friendships—all while having fun in the great outdoors. Coaching
We offer a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio. All our instructors are first-aid certified and experienced waterman and waterwomen. Additionally we are happy to have a yoga teacher/youth fitness specialist on our team.
Equipment
We are providing soft surfboards, leashes, boogie boards and fins. We have a selection of wetsuits available, but are recommending to bring your own.
Snacks
We are pleased to provide refreshing water and nutritious snacks that include fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, we are happy to supply sunscreen for your convenience.

Welcome to our surf camp - a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for kids of all skill levels to explore the ocean, learn to surf, and grow at their own pace.
We’re committed to creating an environment where every child feels welcome, included, and at home. Our top priority is emotional and physical safety - ensuring each camper feels supported, seen, and empowered to learn in a way that works for them.
We honor each participant’s unique timeline, focusing on building strong roots - not just in surfing, but in resilience, self-confidence, and a lifelong love for the ocean.
Working on a heavy beach break, we prioritize developing true ocean comfort and awareness. Our teaching approach is varied, adaptive, and designed to meet every child where they are, helping them gain real skills while feeling safe, excited, and connected.
Our surf progression includes:

Longboarding and shortboarding to develop control, technique, and style

Surf mat work to help kids safely experience getting tossed around - building resilience, comfort with wipeouts, and ocean trust
Led by experienced, passionate instructors, our sessions blend expert coaching with patient guidance and plenty of fun. We know that learning to surf is about much more than just standing up on a board - it’s about building confidence in the water and in life.
We also weave in environmental responsibility, teaching campers about ocean ecosystems and encouraging active participation in beach clean-ups and sustainability efforts.

Refunds & Cancellations
Cancellation by the Customer:
You will be eligible for a full refund if you cancel your Surfcamp reservation more than 30 days before the start date (minus a 5% service fee). If you cancel your reservation between 15 and 30 days before the start date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount will apply. If you cancel your reservation less than 15 days before the start date or fail to show up, no refund will be provided.
Cancellation by the the Surf Camp:
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your surf camp due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient bookings, you will receive a credit for the booking amount.
Substitutions
We allow substitutions before your student starts their week of camp and ask for at least 24 hours notice for any substitution with a new name and email. Any payment arrangements must be handled outside of Loving Adventures LLC; we will only substitute the student and not issue a refund. Please keep in mind the limited age range for the surf camp.
Poor Weather
If we encounter dangerous weather like lightning and heavy storms, we will give a notice the previous night and will make the final call on the morning of camp. If we cancel or delay camp, we will notify everyone reserved. If we cancel camp, we issue a designated makeup camp. You will lose the day entirely if you can not make the designated makeup day. Suppose thunderstorms hit 1/2 way through the sur. In that case, camp, we evacuate the beach immediately and wait until the storm passes to resume surfing, or cancel entirely and extend camp the next day for additional surfing time.
We operate rain or shine
Some of the best surfing conditions happen when it is raining. If rain is in the area with scattered showers and overcast skies, we will most likely be surfing with surf camp OPEN. With notice, we can provide wetsuits and warm shelter. If rain is heavy/drenching, it's cold out and very windy with rough seas, and the forecast calls for the whole day to be like that, we most likely will cancel. Just because rain is in the forecast does not mean we will cancel surf camp or lessons. If your student misses camp due to the weather and camp is ON, your student will not be given makeup. Please send Loving Adventures an email with any absences.
Rip Tides
The ocean can be too rough to run a surf camp with strong rip tides. We will email and post updates on the website if we need to cancel. We generally encourage beach activities as this still gives opportunities to observe and learn from the ocean. If the surf is bigger, we will not cancel and take the kids one out one at a time with rotation closer to the beach with other ocean and beach activities for the students to participate in. We don't issue any makeup or refunds for rough conditions if we do not cancel camp. Camp counselors collectively decide to balance camp if the surf is a harsh.
We are excited to offer financial aid to those who may not have the means to attend our surf camp. Our mission is to make the experience of surfing accessible to everyone.
